Design reference:

Screening Materials: Screening materials shall be welded wedge wire Type 304 Stainless Steel, with a slot size no greater than 0.069 inches. The open area for this slot opening minimum 40%. Slot size controlled and continuously monitored during manufacture. The wire orientation is horizontal. The slot size within +0.002" with a standard deviation no greater than 0.002" throughout the assembly.

Temporary fish screen notes:
1. Temporary screen minimum dimensions of 30"xl44".
2. The flat screen panel assembly shall be designed to withstand a differential hydrostatic load of 4.5 psi (io feet of water) with a maximum deflection of 0.25". design stress used for determining strength of the assembly shall be no more than 80% of the published yield strength of the material used.
3. Panel screens shall consist of welded frames and supports fabricated from type 304 stainless steel. The screen surface shall be of smooth wire shape with inwardly enlarging openings to minimize the likelihood of debris entrapment.
4. Screening materials : welded wedge wire type 304 stainless steel, with a slot size shall no greater than 0.069 inches. the open area for this slot opening minimum 40%.
5. fully enclose screen structure with sheet metal panels. gaps in screen structure shall not exceed 0.069 inches.
6. all connections to concrete shall be made with stainless steel drop-in anchors and 2" stainless steel and neoprene washers @ 24" oc maximum.
